Mayor Paul Blackburn will be giving a State of the City presentation at the Rotary Club. Members of the public are invited to attend the presentation.

The City of Hood River honors the life of recently passed Councilmember, Tim Counihan. Tim worked hard to improve the quality of life for all Hood River residents while promoting inclusive social and sound environmental policies.

Join us for the City of Hood River’s second annual spring cleanup event on May 18th! Volunteers, led by Mayor Paul Blackburn and City Councilors, will be picking up litter along Cascade Avenue on the west side of Hood River.

From Labor Day until Memorial Day, parking is free downtown on Wednesdays after 3 pm. Businesses remain open to customers despite the construction.

"The Hood River City Council is disappointed to learn that there has been an increase in anti-Muslim and antisemitic rhetoric/acts within our community in recent months. The City is working internally to increase racial and social equity, and 'envisions a community where every person feels safe.'"

Installation of the traffic light at 2nd and Oak streets in downtown Hood River begins today, February 12.  Businesses will remain open and accessible during construction.

The City reminds property owners and tenants, it’s time to trim your trees along the public right-of-way. You may you pile branches by the tree (not instreet) to be picked up by Public Works crew when in your area. The right-of-way line is typically five feet behind the curb or edge, or 10 feet if there is a planter strip. Click-thru for more details, and thank you for your cooperation.
